Set in a world the place witches are actual and witchcraft is prohibited, “Witch Hunt” tells the story of Claire (Gideon Adlon), an adolescent compelled to confront her personal prejudices as she helps two younger witches (Abigail Cowen and Echo Campbell) attempting to evade brokers from the federal department of the Bureau of Witchcraft Investigations. Her mom (Elizabeth Mitchell) helps witches in crises, working a protected home of kinds, a cease en path to the southern border, the place susceptible younger girls search asylum in Mexico.
“We have to cease. We are able to’t be risking our lives for them,” Claire begs. Her mom reminds her that “these girls are born with their powers — they don’t have a selection.”
Written and directed by Elle Callahan, “Witch Hunt” hits theaters, on demand, and digital October 1. Callahan made her characteristic debut with 2018’s “Head Depend.”
