ROCKWALL, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) – A participant in a Fourth of July parade in Rockwall was taken into custody Saturday after refusing to cooperate with officers and making an attempt to evade arrest by driving a tractor, police mentioned.
Police mentioned the lady, 61-year-old Laurie Bostic, was inflicting a disturbance at round 11:30 a.m. at a staging space of town’s celebration. Officers determined to not enable her on the parade route.
In line with police, Bostic ignored parade officers and officers and tried to affix the parade on her tractor. Police mentioned she was working it in a “harmful method,” which led to officers making an attempt to cease her close to TL Towsend Drive and Justin Highway.
She refused to cease and tried to evade officers on the tractor, police mentioned. She was finally pressured off the street and right into a fence, disabling the tractor.
The 61-year-old was arrested and booked into Rockwall County Jail for evading arrest, interference with a processional, disorderly conduct and legal mischief.
